I swear there was an article in the New Yorker about this trend a few years ago, but I can’t find it. Maybe it was in some other magazine I read – but it’s really fascinating how people augment their lives with these dolls. The article left me with the impression that there’s a great deal more to it than sex – it’s companionship in some way.
