“Severe Application Error”

Here’s how *not* to do error messages. I pasted a confirmation number into the Hertz website and received this response:

So many things wrong with this.

Romneybot’s severe conservatism routines have been repurposed for car rental, obviously.

I get that any time I try to change or cancel a reservation. I called the Hertz web people about it. They were baffled. They even took my login and password, and used their computer to try to change a reservation. They got the same error message. Read that error message as “next time skip the online mess and just call it in”
